In the event of damage or if an item is not returned/damaged beyond repair you can choose the level of damage on the return form. There will be a percentage of, or the entire deposit will be deducted from the renter's refund. An entire deduction of the security deposit will be the same as the value you placed on your item.
The pickup and return forms allow you to take pictures of the item and upload them to the form. This provides Renthubb documentation against any false claims. Be sure to take thorough pictures on both forms so we can confirm that there was no damage and if there was damage, the amount of damage.
On the return form, you will be able to upload the pictures of any damages and you will be able to select the level of damage based on our deduction guidelines. Be sure to take enough good quality pictures to defend your claim.
The security deposit and the rental fee is always transparent. Renthubb guides item owners to place a reasonable security deposit equal to current value not replacement value. Do not rent an item if you believe the security deposit is unfairly priced.
We do not condone this practice. You entered into an agreement to rent an item for a set period so if you do this, it will negatively affect your rating on our App. Renthubb is a rental marketplace not a site for purchasing items.
Locations other than your house can be used or you can offer to deliver the item to the renter. If you are comfortable however, we recommend offering your house as a pickup location for ease of pickup and return of the item.
